#2: Magnetic Field Measurement Device - Continuation 

The procurement of the necessary equipment for magnetic field measurements proved to be more time-consuming than initially planned, as it was necessary to ensure minimum technical requirements, which significantly limited the range of available options.

The technical specification is being developed based on the planned parameters and the measurement control system, which will be created later and will ensure convenient and reasonable execution of measurements.

  1. Specifications

    During the discussion process, the following requirements for the magnetic field meter were selected:


    • digital data output on a display;
    • adjustable measurement range;
    • ability to measure DC RMS, DC peak, AC RMS, and AC peak parameters;
    • multiple measurement units (not critical, as unit conversion can be performed);
    • minimum measurable field frequency range starting from 10 Hz;
    • portable device (battery-powered / built-in rechargeable battery);
    • USB interface;
    • high-quality software (Windows / Linux);
    • availability of required libraries for programming languages (Python);
    • possibility to perform calibration and obtain a calibration certificate;
    • availability of various types of measurement probes.

    From the remaining available options that met the specified requirements, the following device was selected:
